Short Bio

M. Rachele Nocera is graduated with honours in Political Sciences at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, with a post-graduate specialization in Communication. With a professional background of over 15 years of experience in the field of communication, public affairs, institutional and stakeholder relations, she has developed relevant expertise in design, organization and management of communication and dissemination activities, as well as management of working groups and public-private platforms. Joining ENEA in 2013, she’s in staff to the Liaison Office in Brussels. Her interests focus on EU policy and initiatives in the fields of energy (renewables and energy efficiency), smart cities, and innovation in general. She is well introduced in the Brussels-based battery initiatives, and namely the EBA@250 run by InnoEnergy, and the ETIP BatteRIesEurope where she contributes actively as a member of the management team. She is also involved the SET Plan Steering Group as Sherpa to the Italian Delegates.

She has been working in the private sector (at FORUM PA and Istituto Mides) until 2012 developing relevant skills in design, organization and management of communication and dissemination initiatives for the public administration sector in Italy.

Author of several articles on innovation, new public management and good practices in the public administration for well-known national newspapers and sectoral magazines, She has also held lectures on public communication in training courses targeted to executives managers of Italian Public Administrations.
